Evangeline Wagner

Evangeline Wagner, age 86 of Glen Ullin died Monday, July 31, 2006, at the Marian Manor Health Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with the Reverend Sebastian Schmidt, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Clements Cemetery rural Glen Ullin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Evangeline was born March 15, 1920 on the family homestead, in the Haymarsh area, the daughter of Anton and Frances (Kastner) Wagner. She was raised on the homestead and educated at St. Clements School. She moved into Glen Ullin in 1949 where she worked for the Hardware Hank and Geck?s Clothing. Evangeline enjoyed gardening, flowers, and creating drawings and paintings of them. She entered the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in May of 2003. She is survived one sister-in-law: Eleanor Wagner, Glen Ullin and one brother-in-law: George Wambold, Lacey, WA; 10 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death be her parents, two brothers: Alvin and Clarence, and one sister Hilaria.
