Evelyn Kopp

Evelyn Kopp, 86, Roseburg, Ore. formerly of Richardton and Dickinson, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in Oregon. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton, with the Reverend Brian Wangler, OSB celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be Tuesday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. and will continue at St. Mary?s Catholic Church at 4 p. m. with a rosary being said at 8 p. m. by Albert Sickler. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Evelyn Streu was born September 10, 1916, to William and Anna (Kasten) Streu in Taylor, N. D. She was raised and educated in Taylor, graduating from Taylor High School in 1934. On January 9, 1935, she married Raymond Kopp at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton. Together they farmed south of Richardton until moving into Richardton in 1941. In 1969, they moved to Dickinson and for 21 years she was employed at St. Luke?s Home, retiring in January 1993. Raymond died on October 30, 1983. Evelyn enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting, sewing, crafts playing bingo and cards. She was a past member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. Grateful for having shared her life, Evelyn is survived by: four sons, Kenneth, Denver, Colo. , and his children, Mike, Evelyn, Pat and Kevin; James (Lois), Mesa, Ariz. , and their children, Douglas and Jamie; Robert (Kathy), Surprise, Ariz. , and their children, Scott and Shannon; Ronald (JoAnn), Denver, Colo. , and their children, Kimberly and Bryan; one daughter, Karen (Terry) Sickler, Roseburg, Ore. , and their children, Tera and Mandi and the children of Arlene (Bud) Kopp, Duane, Cynthia and Eileen; ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Arlene and Carol; six brothers and four sisters.
