Evelyn Morrison

Funeral service for Evelyn Morrison, 93, of Baker will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, with Pastor Scott Kiehn officiating.  Burial will take place in Ollie Cemetery.


Visitation for Evelyn will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


Evelyn passed Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker.


Evelyn Magaret Hartse was born December 11, 1925 on the Carlyle homestead, the daughter of Edwin and Sadie (Ellenbaum) Hartse.  She grew up and attended school in Carlyle.  After graduation, Evelyn attended school and became a teacher for area country schools.  On December 30, 1945, Evelyn and Bob Morrison eloped at Wibaux, MT.  To this union two daughters, Faye and Donna, were born.  Together, the family lived on the farm near Ollie where they raised their family.  Evelyn made her home on the farm until moving to the nursing home in 2016.


Evelyn enjoyed listening to music, especially Molly B polka. She could often be found dancing every week.  She loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking, working on sewing projects and planting flowers in the garden.  After Bob passed away, Evelyn spent time traveling.  Evelyn was a member of the Beaver Valley Homemakers Club from 1959-1972.


Evelyn is survived by her son-in-law, Dennis Koenig; grandchildren, Darin (Johnna) Koenig, and Denise (Tyler) Noll; great-grandchildren, Tina, Travis, Taylyn, Terrell, Kaelei, Logan, Kaden, Harlee, Jocelyn, Brady, and Kinsley; and sisters, Irene Sherman and Gloria Hepperle.


She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; daughters, Faye Koenig and Donna Morrison; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Dustin and Kandi Koenig; and brother, Marion Harste.
