Evelyn ?Evie? Sickler, 72, Dickinson, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p. m. , Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Jerry Kautzman celebrating. Interment will be in St. Patrick?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Friday, April 8, 2005 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. Evelyn Martin was born April 2, 1933, at the home of her parents, Frank and Veronica (Gotterbarm) Martin. She married Andrew Sickler on May 26, 1952 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Gladstone. She was active in the St. Philips Church and belonged to the Christian Mothers and was among the first song leaders for many years. They later moved into Dickinson. She was active at Queen of Peace Catholic Church where she served on the parish council and was circle chairman for the kitchen. Her hobbies included decorating her home, walking, gardening, and enjoying a cup of coffee with her many friends. She was a hospice volunteer, and Mardi Gras volunteer for many years. Evelyn is survived by: four sons, Daryl (Judy) Sickler, Rapid City, SD, David (Lois) Sickler, Gladstone, ND, Mike Sickler, Keller, TX, Scott (Michelle) Sickler, Denver, CO; two daughters, Sue (Kevin) Kudrna, Bismarck, ND and Kelly (Rick) Seehausen, Englewood, CO; eleven grandchildren, one grandson born on the day of her death, Colin Andrew Sickler, and one great-grandchild; eight sisters, Eva (Ernest) Focht, Taylor; Marian Bleth, Dickinson, Veronica (Alfred) Dassinger, Gladstone, Josephine (Allen) Rust, Hutsville, TX, Delores (Edwin) Lefor, Dickinson, Marlene (Jess) Moore, Worland, WY, Elaine (Robert) Burns, Yakima, WA, and Joyce (Allen) Koskelecky, Bothell, WA; three sisters-in-law, Ethelyn Martin, Dickinson, Dorothy Auld, Rockford, MN and Elvira Martin, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Andy; parents; four brothers, Anton Martin, Frank Martin, Peter Martin and LeRoy Martin; two sisters, Dora Schummerr and Margaret Haysom. and two brothers-in-law, John Bleth, and Frank Schummer. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 725 12th St. W. , Dickinson, ND 58601.
