Florence Haga

Funeral service for Florence Haga, 81, of Dickinson, formerly of Baker, MT, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2023 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, MT, with Jim Biswell officiating.  Burial will take place in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post #35.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker.

Florence passed away on October 29, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Florence Doris Schell was born in Ismay, MT on July 23, 1942, the daughter of Jacob Jr. and Luella Louise (Ehret) Schell.  Growing up she attended school in Ismay and later graduated from Plevna High School. Florence enlisted with the US Army and was honorably discharged after serving four years. During her time in the military, Florence met Buford Haga.  They were married and blessed with three children, Louella, Lori and William.  Florence and her children returned to Baker. While raising her family, she began working in the meat department at Reynolds Grocery Store where she worked for the next 35+ years.  Florence loved to garden, read and be with her children and grandchildren.

Florence is survived by her son, Bill (Tami) Haga of Dickinson; daughters, Louella (Mike) Willson and Lori (Cole) Maier, both of Dickinson; brother, Larry (Jan) Schell of CA; sisters, Alice Turner of Dickinson, Mary Ann Lecoe of Marmarth; seven grandchildren, Cassandra, Joesph, Chaz, Riley, Molly, Mike and Lexi.

Shew as preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Jr. and Luella Schell; brothers, Clarence, Raymond, Lloyd, Vernon; sister, Lillian Case; and grandchild, Teryn.
