Funeral Services for Florence ?Fern? Schouboe, 84 of Baker will be held 11:00 a. m. Monday, April 3, 2006, at American Lutheran Church in Baker with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will be in the Bonnievale Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 3, 2006 from 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 a. m. Fern passed away Monday, March 27, 2006 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, following a short battle with cancer. Fern was born August 15, 1921 in Spencer, SD to Albert and Lois (Lutts) Robbins. Her mother, sister, and brother came back to the Ollie Community when she was very young. They lived with her grandparents for a number of years. When she was ten, Fern?s mother married Carl G. Rose and they made their home on a farm south of Ollie, MT. Fern graduated from Ollie High School and was tied for top honors in the class of 1940. She then attended Business College in Fargo, ND. On January 26, 1944, Fern married Ronald Schouboe in Baker, MT. To this union, four children were born, Jimmy, Donny, Clarence and Peggy. They lived and worked for Ronald?s parents on the Waldron Ranch. They then purchased the Peterson Farm by Cap Rock. Fern lived on the farm until May 2004, when she moved to Baker. She lived at Quality Personal Care until she was hospitalized in November. In February of 2006, Fern made Fallon Medical Complex her home. Fern spent many hours weeding her large garden and many flower beds during the day and knitted, crocheted or some other craft during the evenings. Her grandmother taught her how to tat when she was four and Fern made many tatted items as well as teaching others the craft. She also enjoyed working with plastic canvas, which she gave many away as gifts. Fern was involved in Baker Women?s Club, Ollie Homemakers Club, Baker Cowbells and American Lutheran Church Women throughout her life. She was an active member of American Lutheran Church and Esther Circle at the time of her death. Fern is survived by two sons, Donny (Barbara), Pascoag, RI; Clarence (special friend, Connie), Gillette, WY; a daughter, Peggy (Larry) Niemerg, Baker, MT; five grandchildren, Philip (Susan)Schouboe, Chico, CA; Robin (Gary) Kimatian, Harrisville, RI; Michael Coddington (special friend, Christy), Forsyth, MT; Cheryl Niemerg, Baker, MT; Brent (Amanda) Niemerg, Phoenix, AZ; five great-grandchildren, Tara Schouboe, Joshua and Peter Kimatian, Trinity Coddington, and Morgan Niemerg, a sister, Flora McLaren, a half-sister, Carol Ann Huddlestun, step-sisters, Ima Riesler and Gloria Wosepka, a sister-in-law, Adeline Stark, numerous nieces and nephews and her special little ?Buddy?. She was preceded by her parents, husband, a son, Jimmy, a granddaughter in infancy, a brother, Sonny, half-sister Wilma Whaley and half brother, Billy Rose.
