A funeral service for Florence Rost Wiseman, 97, of Baker will be 10:00 a. m. , Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery. Visitation for Florence will be 1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. , Friday, December 12, 2014 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker. Florence passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Fallon County Medical Complex in Baker. Florence was born August 19, 1917 in Ollie, MT, the daughter of Carl and Elsie (Granhaug) Rost. She attended schools in Ollie and graduated from the Ollie High School in 1935. In 1937, she was married to Allie J. Ferrel. To this union three children were born: Roy, Darlene and Jim. Together the family moved to Wyoming where they worked on Tolman cattle ranch. In 1941 they moved to Cabin Creek where they lived until they chose to move into Baker so the kids could attend school in 1952. Florence worked as a waitress for several years at Grainger Cafe. She later worked as a secretary for MDU and Quenzer Ford in Baker. At the age of 62, Florence retired, and continued to make Baker and Little Beaver her home. In 1956, she married Vernon Wiseman in Baker. They enjoyed dancing, walking, and keeping on the go together. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Washington to visit relatives and fish. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Florence was known for her lefsa and krumkake. Florence was baptized and confirmed at the Ollie Lutheran Church. Florence is survived by her sons; Roy (Sharon) Ferrel and Jim (Norma) Ferrel of Baker, MT; daughter, Darlene (Owen) Stieg of Ekalaka, MT; five grandchildren, Bevra. Joyce, Natalie, Kim and Josh; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granchild; brothers, Leonard (Betty) Rost of Shelton, WA, Darrel (Jackie) Rost of Miles City, MT; and one sister, Adele Schlecht of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Allie J. Ferrel and Vernon Wiseman; grandchildren, Sandra, Heidi, Dave and Terry; brothers, Clinton Rost, Clayton Rost, Harvey Rost and Orville Rost; and sister, Viola Foreman. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
