Frank was born June 30, 1930 at his grandfathers horseshoe bend homestead, near Moskee, WY, the son of Raymond and Marjorie (Bosworth) Roadifer. He grew up and attended school in Sundance, WY. After completing high school, he worked for various ranches in the Wyoming area. Frank enlisted into the United States Army in 1950, and served in the 35th Quartermaster Co. Mule Pack, which served under the Corps of Engineers. After being honorably discharged, Frank returned to Wyoming for a short time. He then lived in Colorado and Nebraska before coming to Montana to help his sister Leona on her ranch after the death of her husband Steven Williams. On September 15, 1958, Frank and Josephine “Josie” Berry were united in marriage. To this union five children were born: Bill, Floyd, Jo Ellen, Laura Mae and Lee. Together, Frank and Josie ranched and raised their children in Montana and South Dakota. Frank enjoyed being outdoors, ranching and a good horse. He also enjoyed woodworking and making custom cedar beds. Frank loved to travel, and he always said he didn’t like people, but he sure enjoyed visiting with them. He loved organizing family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with family. Church was always very important to Frank, as well as his opportunity to serve his country. He was proud of being a 7th Day Adventist, and being a baptized member. Frank was survived by his wife, Josie; children, Bill Roadifer of Cramp Crook, SD, Floyd (Kellie) Roadifer of Pinedale, WY, Jo Ellen (Tom) Geck of Belfield, ND, Laura Mae (Mike) Bennett of Loveland, CO and Lee (Sheryl) Roadifer of Cheyenne, WY; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernie (Judy) Roadifer of Rogersville, MO, Wayne (Pam) Roadifer of Sheridan, WY; sisters, Edith (Pat) Cunningham of Broadus, MT, Cynthia Garner of Kittrell, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
