Baker

A Funeral Mass for Frances Boespflug, 95, of Baker will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Church in Baker with Father Philip Chinnappan celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Plevna. The service will be Livestreamed at stevensonfuneralhome.com.

Visitation for Frances will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, with a rosary and vigil taking place at 6:00 p.m.

Frances passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at her home in Plevna.

Frances was born on February 16, 1929 in Bridger, MT to Peter and Monica (Eckroth) Aman. When she was a young child she and the family moved to Richardton, ND where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic Schools. She graduated high school and chose to stay in Richardton and help her family. She met Joseph Boespflug and they were united in marriage on May 23, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. To this union eight children were born, Roy, Peggy, Lois, Marie, Monica, Betty, Lorraine and Jolene. In 1978, their family moved to Plevna, MT where Frances has made her home since. 

Frances loved family gatherings and in her free time could be found tending to her garden. She also enjoyed reading and watching television. Her favorites were daytime soap operas and especially the Gameshow network. Frances and her daughter Monica attended many auction sales looking for the next best deal. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Plevna. 

Frances will be greatly missed by her son; Roy (Tracy) Boespflug of Billings, MT; daughters, Margaret “Peggy” (Glenn) Given of Belleville, IL; Lois Geving of Plevna, MT, Marie Weiss of Olivehurst, CA, Monica Stark of Baker, MT, Betty (Rick) Cline of Bellevue, NE, Lorraine (Bill James) Boespflug of Baker, MT, Jolene Boespflug of Plevna, MT; bonus daughter, Deb Ranum of Baker, MT; brothers, Richard (Patrica) Aman, Clarence (Randy) Aman; sisters, Florence Staudinger, Clarice (Toots) Kostelecky; grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Hancock, Michelle (Ben) Alexander, Rachel (Kevin) Molm, Logan Boespflug, David (Paige) Henderson; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Monica; husband, Joseph Boespflug; siblings, Leo Aman, Joe Aman, Tom Aman, Jerry Aman, Eleanor Zent, granddaughter, Brenda Henderson.
