A funeral Mass for Frances Dvorak, 92, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, January 6 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for Frances will be Thursday, January 5 from 2 pm to 7 pm at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6 p. m. Frances passed away December 30, 2016 At St. Benedicts. Frances was born October 17, 1924 at home at her parent’s farm southeast of South Heart, the daughter of Joseph & Rose (Ridl) Samek. She was the 12th child of 14 children. Growing up she attended South Heart Grade & High School graduating with the class of 1942. On June 23, 1942 Frances married Fred Kostelecky at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of South Heart. They were blessed with three children, Kathleen, Carol and Vernon. Together they farmed and raised their family southwest of Dickinson. After Fred’s passing in December of 1975 Frances moved to Dickinson. On January 26, 1977, Frances married Albert Dvorak. She worked at Classic Lanes, L&M cleaners and Kmart before retiring. Frances was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, crocheting, sewing, embroidering, making quilts and spending time with grandchildren. She made a quilt for all her children and grandchildren. She always wanted everyone to be warm and never be hungry. She was a member of St. Ann’s Altar Society. Frances will be dearly missed and forever loved. Frances is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Cornelius) Kooren of Fargo, ND, Carol (Dennis) Bittenbinder of Fayetteville, AR; son, Vernon (Diana) Kostelecky of Dickinson; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Fred and Albert; all of her brothers and sisters.
