Mass of Christian Burial for Frances Ann Freer, 80 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Jim Braaten celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 8:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 with a Prayer Service held at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Frances passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center. Frances was born April 24, 1925, the daughter of Kasper and Katherine (Grossman) Tormaschy. She grew up and attended country schools in the rural Gladstone area, later attending Gladstone High School. She was married to Christ Freer at St. Phillips Catholic Church in the Hirshville area on September 12, 1944. They resided in the Hirshville area where they farmed and raised their two daughters, Joyce and Jan. They farmed for 46 years and Frances continued to live there for 50 years. In 1994, she moved into Dickinson where she has made her home since. Frances was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed growing flowers. She also took pleasure in needlework and crafts. Frances loved to listen to music and watch and feed the birds. She deeply loved and enjoyed working on the farm with her husband. Frances is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Don) Dvorak, Gladstone, ND; Jan (Dennis) Dvorak, Joplin, MO; five brothers, George (Lorene) Grossman, Bismarck, ND; Bill (Dorothy) Tormaschy, Dickinson, ND; Richard (Marie) Tormaschy, Dickinson; ND; Victor (Lucille) Tormaschy, Richardton, ND; Ralph (Alina) Tormaschy, Manning, ND; one brother-in-law, Gene Martin, Billings, MT; four grandchildren, Jeff (Tammie) Dvorak, Gladstone, ND; Carol (Chad) Brusseau, Langdon, ND; Jason (Dawn) Dvorak, Sauk Rapids, MN; Justin (Lena), Dvorak, Minnetonka, MN, and four great-granchildren, Grant Dvorak, Amanda and Tyler Brusseau and Eva Dvorak. She was preceded by her parents, her husband Christ in 1991, and one sister Caroline Martin. The family requests memorials be to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
