Frances Jahner

A Funeral Mass for Frances Mary “Fritzie” Jahner, 88, of Glenrock, WY, formerly of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Msgr Gene Lindemann celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation for Fritzie will be 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. , Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Vigil and Rosary service being held at 7:00 p. m. Fritzie passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY. Frances Mary Jahner was born July 15, 1927 in Long Prairie, MN the daughter of Charles and Rose (Doroff) Winczewski. After graduating from high school, Fritzie went on to work as a bookkeeper at Ash D. C. until the end of World War II. Upon returning to Dickinson, Fritzie and Ralph Jahner were united in marriage on November 27, 1950. Together, they enjoyed many travels and adventures while moving about the western states including; AK, MT, WA, CA, AZ, CO, and eventually settling in Glenrock, WY. Fritzie was a member of the Genealogical Society of Germans from Russian in which she did extensive research. She enjoyed raising flowers, needle work, cake decorating, painting and taking drives in the mountains. Fritzie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold; sister, Marion Nelson; and son, Michael. She is survived by her children, Suzanne, Tom and Charles; grandchildren, Michele Jahner, Jenifer & Ty Pirtz, Dustin Arellano, Katie Moraveck, Zach Jahner and Samantha & Jack Smith; great-grandchildren, Dylan & Bo Pirtz, Tatum Jahner, and Kai & Sonny Smith. A service for Fritzie was held at 6:00 p. m. on June 22, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Glenrock, WY with Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory in Casper, WY assisting the family with arrangements.
