A funeral service for Frances Schlosser, 92, of Hebron, will be 11:00 am CT, Friday, May 10, 2019 at St. John United Church of Christ in Hebron with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Visitation for Frances will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Frances passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin.
Frances Martha was born August 28, 1926 in Hebron, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Stevahn) Fuchs. As a young girl she attended country school and graduated from Hebron High School. She continued her education at Dickinson State and Minot State College with the dream of becoming a teacher and went on to earn her Master’s Degree. Frances married Reiny (Reinhold) Schelle on June 15, 1947. To this union, son, Kermit was born. Frances was a teacher for 33 years, teaching at schools in various locations including Grant County where she also served as superintendent for two years. She touched the lives of many children, in hopes of a wonderful future for each one. Reiny passed away in 1980 and Frances remarried Adam Schlosser in 1995. Frances enjoyed reading, playing cards, crocheting, crafts and collecting stamps. She was a member of St. John’s Church and the Glen Ullin Legion Auxiliary. Frances also took good care of her mom for many years and worked at the Marian Manor Nursing Home. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
Frances is survived by her son, Kermit (Jane) Schelle of Yelm, WA; grandchildren, Tonya and Teresa; great-grandchildren, Kacee, Ashley and Brett; sisters, June (William) Opp, Dorinda Opp, Eleanor Maas; special niece, Nancy Bittner of Glen Ullin; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Reiny Schelle and Adam Schlosser; parents, Henry and Martha Fuchs; sisters, Dorthea Schelle, Marjorie Boyett; brothers, Henry Jr. and Gerhardt Fuchs; granddaughter, Tina Snyder.
