Frank Messmer, 66, Casper, Wyoming, formerly of Dickinson, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, in Casper, Wyoming. The memorial mass will be 10 a. m. , Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack celebrating. Interment will be at a later date in New England. Visitation will be 12 noon to 9 p. m. on Friday, July 14, 2006, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary being said at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the mass. Frank Messmer was born September 19, 1939 in Dunn County, the son of George and Barbara (Beckler) Messmer. He was raised and attended the Iota School in Dunn County. Frank served in the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1959. On October 19, 1963, he married Mary Jane Martin at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. Frank and Mary Jane just recently moved to Casper to be with their daughter and her family. His interests included spending time with his four beautiful granddaughters. They were number one to him and he loved to entertain them, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with friends and family. Frank was a member of the Southwest Anglers in Dickinson and the Dickinson Eagles Aeries #2328. Frank Messmer is survived by: his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane, Casper, WY. ; one daughter, Michelle (Frank Jr. ) Taylor, Casper, WY, four granddaughters all of Casper, WY; four sisters, Elsie Tormaschy, Dickinson, Shirley (Gary) Semerad, Rancho Mirage, CA. , Jayne (Rodney) Rieth, West Fargo, ND and Mary Price, Illinois; one half-sister, Sister Louise Marie Messmer, California; three brothers Harold (Delores) Lemmon, SD, Lee, Rapid City, SD and Jerry (Cathy) Messmer, Castle Rock, CO. ; half-brothers, George (Isabelle) Lead, SD, Bert, Spearfish, SD and Jack, Dickinson, ND along with many nieces and nephews.
