Funeral Mass for Frank Reisenauer, 93, of Belfield, ND, will be 10:30 a. m. , Friday, September 30, 2011 at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church, Belfield, ND with Father Casimir Paluck, celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard?s Cemetery, Belfield. Visitation for Frank will be from 1:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. , Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church, Belfield with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00 a. m. to 10:30 a. m. at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church. Frank passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 in Chula Vista, CA, while visiting his brother. Frank Reisenauer was born September 1, 1918 on the family farm south of Belfield, son of Joseph and Philippina (Nuss) Reisenauer. Growing up, Frank attended country school. At the age of ten, Frank became man of the house when his father passed away. He continued to work on the family farm for several years until he was drafted into the Army at the beginning of WWII. During his tour of duty, Frank served in the Pacific Theatre based out of Pearl Harbor and Hawaii. After being honorably discharged in 1945, he returned home to Belfield where he continued to farm. On October 19, 1948, Frank married Margie Shypkowski at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church in Belfield. The couple made their home on the farm where they raised their four children. Frank was fortunate enough to spend his entire life on the Reisenauer family farm, passing it on to the 4th generation. Frank was a member of the American Legion, William C. Blair Post #144, St. Anthony?s, Knights of Columbus and was named Knights of Columbus Patriot of the Year. He enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family, going to coffee and tinkering in the garage. Frank was a very handy and self-reliant man, and he restored several antique tractors. He also enjoyed hunting and going to auction sales and garage sales. Frank had a story for all occasions and he enjoyed talking about his time in the military. Frank is survived by his son Larry (Bonnie) Reisenauer of Belfield; daughter Deb Frank of Dickinson; daughter-in-law Donna Reisenauer of Dickinson; brother Bob (Audrey) Reisenauer of Chula Vista, CA; eight grandchildren, Scott, Keith, Kent, Tracy, Crystal, Shelby, Corey and Nicole; eight great-grandchildren; companion Marianne Miller and dear friend Delores Smith. Frank is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Margie; daughter Cheryl Reisenauer; son Rodney Reisenauer; son-in-law Glenn Giese; two grandsons, Joshua and Jonathan; one great-grandson, Isaac; two brothers, Leo and Pete; and four sisters, Rose, Regina, Betty and Tillie.
