Frank D. Riesinger, 73, Dickinson, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a. m. Tuesday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Rev. David Morman celebrating and Rev. Jerry Kautzman concelebrating. Military Rites will be provided by the Dickinson Veterans Drill Team. Interment will be 2 p. m. CST, Wednesday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan, ND. Visitation will be from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. Monday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a prayer service, rosary and video tribute led by Ron Wolberg at 7 p. m. Frank D. Riesinger was born June 17, 1930, in Lefor, ND to Katie (Staat) and Andrew Riesinger. He attended schools in Hettinger and Stark Counties and then later Dickinson State and Minot State Colleges. Frank then moved to Regent to work at the Farmers Union until he joined the U. S. Army in 1951. He served in the Korean conflict for 18 months and was honorably discharged in 1953. For his service he earned the Korean Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars, U. S. Service Medal and National Defense Medal. In 1954, he married Rosemary Koppinger at Lefor, ND. Frank later worked at the Farmers Union Creamery from 1954 to1956 and the Dickinson Police Department from 1956 until he retired in 1990. He also drove the Dickinson Ambulance for 25 years. Frank was a member of the American Legion, Dickinson Elks Lodge #1137, North Dakota Peace Officers Association, Southwest Crime Conference and Southwest Anglers. Frank is survived by: his wife, Rosemary, Dickinson; two daughters, Karen Riesinger, Grand Junction, Colo. and Teri Genzel, Dickinson; one son, Russ Riesinger, Monroe, CT; five grandchildren, Jessica, Kelli, Mandi, Kirill and Haley; three brothers, Mike (Evelyn), Dickinson, Pete (Elaine), Laurel, Mont. and Tony (Eileen), Sacramento, Calif. ; two sisters, Betty Dukhorn, Winsted, Minn. and Eva (Hank) Krebs, Tacoma, Wash. ; and one sister-in-law, Ann Aagenes, Billings, Mont. Frank was preceded in death by: his parents and four brothers. Due to the season of Lent, in lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
