Frieda Larsen

Funeral Service for Frieda Larsen, 94, of Taylor is Monday, October 26, 2009, 10:00 am at the Taylor Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Wittstruck officiating. Burial will be in the family lot of the Taylor Cemetery in Taylor, ND. Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson continuing on Sunday from 9 am to 9 pm at the Stevenson Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 4:00 pm. Visitation will also be held on Monday one hour prior to the service at the Taylor Lutheran Church in Taylor, ND. Frieda Larsen went home to meet her heavenly Father and the company of Saints Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at her home in Taylor, ND. Frieda Lehman was born at their farm home, north of Hebron, to Margaret (Fischer) and Gustav Lehmann, March 6th 1915. After her father?s death and her mother?s remarriage to Anton Schlapman, the family moved to Gladstone and then Taylor. She attended country school and graduated from Taylor High School. Frieda was married to Hans Larsen, June 10, 1936, and they were blessed with four children, Thomas (Frances) Larsen, Oakton, VA, Paul (Sue L. ) Larsen, Taylor, ND, Lowell (Susan K. ) Larsen, Taylor, ND and Margaret (Larry) Marcusen, Dickinson, ND. Frieda was also blessed with 13grandchildren; Eric (Emily) Larsen, Kristin Larsen, Catherine (Will) Coley, Brian Larsen, Shannon (Lowell) Malard, Justin (Marni) Larsen, Alecia (Mike) Pretzer, Ben (Jen) Marcusen, Colin (Shana) Marcusen, Sandra (Chris) Bernhardt, Ale Larsen, Ruby Larsen, Allison (Josh Kuhn) Larsen, and 14 great-grandchildren. Frieda was the ?anchor? of the Larsen-Lehmann families and her home was always a welcoming home to all. Frieda enjoyed being a hostess, tending her garden and flowers, reading, singing, quilting, fishing, traveling, and being a loving and prayerful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Taylor Lutheran Church. Frieda is survived by her four children and their families, a sister; Leone (Tobe) Torbensen, Step-sister; Lil Holden, Bucyrus, sister-in-laws; Bridget Lehman, Melinda Jessup and many nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hans, twin infant granddaughters, brothers; Albert, Clemens and Reinhold Lehmann, Richard Schlapman, sisters; Elsie Lehman, Marie Helgeson, Hilda Wood, sisters-in-law Connie (Carl Johnson, Jo (Hans) Hem, Elsie (Sivert) Elkin, Lottie (Tobe) Lavik, Laura (Bill)Draeger, Grace (Otto) Corbin, brothers-in-law; Jack (Ragnild) Larsen and Sam (June) Larsen.
