A memorial service for Gale D. Bice, 72, Killdeer, ND will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Killdeer with Pastor Dorothy Williams officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Killdeer. Per Gale’s wishes cremation will take place after the visitation and prior to the memorial service. Gale passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at her home in Killdeer after a brief battle with cancer. Gale Donna was born March 22, 1944 in Dunn Center, the daughter of Don and Ella (Kreiger) Dehlinger. At a very young age, Gale lost her mother. She attended school while living with her Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob Kreiger in Dunn Center. Her dad moved to Arizona for health reasons, and started over after the family ranch was taken due to the Garrison Diversion Project. Gale later joined her father and attended high school in Arizona and graduated in California. She came back to North Dakota and has lived here through the years. Gale married David Bice on November 13, 1964 in Dickinson. They were blessed with three sons, Jeff, Scott and Mike. Together they raised their family four miles north of Killdeer. Gale worked at the Grab-n-Go and sold AVON products for a few years. Gale was member at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed being a member of a Homemakers group and she loved animals, especially her cats. Gale is survived by her husband, David of Killdeer; sons, Jeff (Mary) of Dickinson, Scott (Cindy) of Killdeer, and Mike (Nicole) of Fargo; sister, Ethel (Eddy) Murphy and niece Laurie of Pleasant View, CO; uncle, Ed Kreiger of White Earth; five grandchildren, Braeden, Chandler and Hunter, Ryan and Kaitlyn; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ella Dehlinger; Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob Kreiger; and numerous aunts and uncles.
