Galen G. Redetzke, 51, Reeder, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, in Mott. Funeral Services will be 9 a. m. , Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Our Redeemer?s Lutheran Church, New England, with Chaplain Jim Oakland, officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Anton Ulijohn Post #66. Interment will be at 2 pm (mt) Thursday in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be noon ? 9 p. m. , Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson with a prayer service at 6:30 p. m. Visitation will continue Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. Galen G. Redetzke was born on September 22, 1955 to Ralph G. and Dorothy C. (Herren) Redetzke. He attended Enterprise School in Kennedy Township, then attended and graduated from New England Public School in 1973. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy on November 4, 1973 and was honorably discharged on November 4, 1979. He married Annette Frankenstein in Reno, NV at the Chapel of Promise on June 26, 1977. They moved to Killdeer in 1978 and he worked in the oilfield until 1984. They moved to the family farm and he worked for Cliff Steckler for 1 year. They took over the family farm in 1987 when his father died. He worked for Koffler?s Manufacturing, Herr Lutz Autohaus, Stang Farms, Regent Grain and Alliance Agro. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed NASCAR racing, pool, fishing, hunting and camping. He is survived by: his wife, Ann, Reeder; one daughter, Patricia (Jason) Jahner, Mott, ND; two sons, Justin (Jessica) Redetzke, Mandan, and Derek Redetzke, Mott; six grandchildren, Alexander Jahner, Cassandra Jahner, Jacob Redetzke, Sabrina Redetzke, Jasmine Redetzke, and Blake Redetzke; two brothers, Dayton Redetzke and Rod (Rhonda) Redetzke; three sisters, Nanette (Tino) Anis, Nadine (Tom) Weippert, and Melonia (Richie) Legacie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Redetzke, and an infant brother, Gary Redetzke.
