George Dassinger

The funeral service for George Dassinger, 70, Dickinson, will be at 1:30 p. m. , Friday, January 26, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Interment will be in Dickinson Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to the service time Friday at Stevenson Funeral Home. George passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at his home in Dickinson. George D. Dassinger was born May 28, 1936 to Pete and Magdalene (Wollman) Dassinger in Hettinger County. He attended Iowa #2 Country School in Hettinger County to the sixth grade. He worked for neighboring farmers and later in life took care of his Dad, Pete after his mother died in 1949. After Pete died in 1984, George stayed on the farm for two years before moving to town. George loved to walk and visit with neighbors. He is survived by: his sisters, Evelyn (Leo) Dorval, Dickinson, Eleanor Zastoupil, Dickinson, Betty (Steve) Syminow, Dickinson, and Dorothy Reager, Dickinson; three brothers, Peter A. Dassinger, Dickinson, Kenneth Dassinger, Miles City, MT, Roland (Grace) Dassinger, Chaska, MN; one sister in law, Katherine Dassinger, Dickinson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, and one sister.
