George Dvorak

George L. Dvorak, 82, Dickinson, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at St. Benedicts Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be, 10:00 a. m. , Monday, March 17, 2003, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, New Hradec, with the Reverend Basil Atwell, O. S. B. celebrating. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, New Hradec. Visitation will be held at Price-Murphy Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 p. m. to 9 p. m. with a prayer service at 7 p. m. George L. Dvorak was born July 11, 1920, to Vincent and Mary (Kovash) Dvorak in Dunn County. He grew up on the family farm in Dunn County and on November 3, 1943, he married Hattie B. Kinzel at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, New Hradec. They farmed north of New Hradec in Dunn County from 1943 to 1981, when they moved to Dickinson. He continued to help out with the farm and cared for Hattie until she died in November of 2000. George moved to Evergreen Inn and later entered St. Benedicts Health Center. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening and loved the outdoors. George is survived by: three sons, Ron (Patricia) Dvorak, Bismarck, ND, Ken (Margie) Dvorak, St. Cloud, Minn. and Gary (Connie) Dvorak, Dickinson, ND; 11 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother, Leonard (Elsie) Dvorak, Dickinson, ND; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Dvorak, Dickinson, ND and Emma Dvorak, Bismarck, ND. He was preceded in death by: his wife; parents; two brothers, Charlie and Edward and one sister, Julia Meduna. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Fr. Brydl Park, in care of the family.
