Mass of Christian Burial for George A. Koffler, 88, of Dickinson is Monday, December 2, 2002, 10:00 a. m. at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Dennis Schafer, celebrating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 11:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a rosary at 8:00p. m. followed by a vigil service at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with Deacon Ralph Stockert. Visitation will then continue on Monday with a rosary being led by George Keller at 9:00 amGeorge passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2002, at St. Joseph?s Hospital. George the son of Joseph and Anna Dietz Koffler was born on December 12, 1913 in Scranton, ND. He moved with his parents at the age of 3 to South of Dickinson were he attended country schools. He continued to work at the farm until he was married to Anna Frenzel on June 12, 1934. George worked at the Dickinson Meat Cannery while farming Southwest of Dickinson. Together George and Anna purchased a farm Southeast of Dickinson were they farmed for over twenty years. They moved into Dickinson where George worked for Stark County, Decker Implement, General Investment and later as a maintenance man for SAX Motors. George retired in 1995. He enjoyed going back out to the farm to help his son who still operates his farm yet today. He also enjoyed attending cattle sales and going for rides to see the countryside. George always listened to old time music whenever possible. He especially loved and enjoyed his grand and great-grandchildren. Survivors include, son, Arnonld (Marge), Dickinson; a son-in-law, Chris Meier, Glen Ullin brother, Matt (Ruth) Koffler, Mandan; two sisters, Rose Frenzel, Dickinson and Mary Plummer, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Monte, Marty and Glen Koffler, Wallace and Joan Berger and Galen Meier; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jeannette Meier, three sisters, Tillie Whitehead, Annie Branham and Barbara ObrigewitchRemembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at www. stevensonfuneralhome. com.
