George Schwartzbauer

George Schwartzbauer, 93, Dickinson, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p. m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, ND with the Reverend David Morman, celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be held at Price-Murphy Funeral Home Monday from 9 a. m. to noon and one hour prior to the service at the church. George Schwartzbauer was born August 13, 1909, in McGrath, Minnesota, to Joseph and Gertrude (Scheartl) Schwartbauer. At the age of 12, he moved with his family to New England, ND. He married Mary Staudinger on June 10, 1941 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Dickinson. He served in the US Army from 1942 until 1945. He worked as a carpenter for various construction companies in the area. He is survived by: two sons, Henry and LeRoy; four sisters, Cecelia Bruisch, New England, Margaret (George) Miller, Dickinson, Betty (Bernie) Klug, Dickinson, Frances Brentrup, Peoria, AZ. He was preceded in death by: his wife; daughter, Irene; parents; five brothers and one sister.
