George Splichal

George Splichal, 69, of Dickinson, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.

In accordance with George's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

George Allen Richard Splichal was born June 9, 1954, the son of George L. and Catherine (Wandler) Splichal. He grew up in Dickinson, attending St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and then Dickinson High School. He worked in the Job Corp before enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served for several years. He returned to Dickinson after a number of years in Oregon. In 1975 he married Noel Letang. The couple was blessed with four children. George owned and operated George’s Sewer and Drain Cleaning until his retirement. 

George enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes and shooting pool, and watching NASCAR. He was a jack of all trades, working on countless projects for his friends and family, and he enjoyed gardening. 

George is survived by his children Jesse (Carrie) Splichal, Katie Splichal, Sarah Ruffin, and Charles Splichal all of Dickinson; siblings Radelle Krupa, Rod Splichal, Curt Splichal, Lori Splichal-Pekas, Kel Splichal, Kathy Carter, and Morgan Splichal; grandchildren Keaston, Klaire, Miyah, and Aliyah. 

He was preceded in death by his parents George L. and Catherine Splichal.
