Graveside Services for George Talkington, 80 of Ekalka are 1:30 p. m. Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Beaver Lodge Cemetery in Ekalaka. George passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2004 at Dahl Memorial Health Care Center in Ekalaka. He was born on February 9, 1924, the third son of Rolla & Matilda (Speiser) Talkington at Ekalaka, Montana. He grew up and attended rural schools in Carter County. George stayed on the family ranch and worked while his two older brothers, Robert (Pat) & Everett (Dan) served in the war. George enjoyed ranching, horses and going for walks. George was known by his friends as the most giving and caring person they had ever known. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for you. If it meant going hungry he would give you the money before spending it on himself. He loved to play Bingo and cards. George lived at Dahl Memorial the last 11 years and was like family to those who worked there. George?s family would like to graciously thank all the staff for the love & care they have given to George. Survivors include his nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dan & Pat.
