Georgiane Pedeliski

A Parastas for Georgiane Pedeliski, 75, of Dickinson, formerly of Belfield will be 11 a. m, Friday, December 26, 2014 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fairfield, ND, with Father Taras Miles celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with rosary and vigil to be held at 10 a. m. Burial will take place in St. Demetrius Cemetery, NE of Belfield, ND. Visitation for Georgiane will be from 10:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. , Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Georgiane passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Dickinson. Georgiane Smith was born September 6, 1939 in rural South Heart, the daughter of Peter and Magdalen (Billman) Smith. She grew up and attended school in Belfield. On November 12, 1957, Georgiane and Peter Pedeliski were united in marriage at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church. To this union four children were born: Patricia, Robert, Susan and Jeffrey. Shortly after Peter’s death on April 14, 1979, Georgiane moved to Belfield until 1992 when she moved to Dickinson. In November of 2013, she moved to St. Benedict’s. Georgiane loved working with beads and making jewelry, collecting dolls and pens and enjoying afternoon coffee time. Georgiane is survived by her children, Patricia (Ronald) Heiser of Dickinson, Robert Pedeliski of Westminster, CO, Susan Pyfer of Dickinson and Jeffrey (Susan) Pedeliski of Belfield; six grandchildren: Nicki Pedeliski, Shannon (Kyle) Moe, Joseph Pedeliski, Kitty Pyfer, Billy Pyfer and Morgan Pedeliski; two great-grandchildren: Shayden & Kameron Moe; one step-granddaughter, Kim (fiancé, David Kaminski) Reiss;; three step great-grandchildren: John Reiss III, Sierra Reiss, and Alexandra Kaminski; one step great-great-grandchild, Evalynn Reiss; brothers, Robert Smith of Livingston, MT, and LeRoy “Buddy” (Delores) Smith of Belfield; sisters, Laverne “Toots” Luptak of Dickinson, Janice “Jenny” (Louie) Schlosser of Bismarck, and Mary (Peter) Kuntz of New Rockford, ND; an aunt, Mary Kostelecky of Sioux Falls, SD; special friends, Alvin Fichter & Mary Jane Leiss; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter; her parents, Peter and Magdalen Smith; parents-in-law, Mike and Wasalina Pedeliski; brother, Karl “Buster” Smith; sister-in-law, Rosi Smith; brother-in-law, Albert Luptak; and niece, Shelly Schlosser.
