Gerald went to be with Jesus after a long, courageous battle with illness on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. Gerald was born on August 8, 1936 in Killdeer, the son of Harvey and Minnie (Kummer) Grevious. He grew up and attended school in Killdeer. After graduating, Gerald enlisted in the US Army serving from l957 to 1959. He returned to Killdeer where he worked for various ranchers including the Fettig Rodeo Co. Gerald married LaDonna Rae Robison on September 11, 1965 in Killdeer. They were blessed with four amazing daughters, Yvette, Deanna, Deborah and Heather. Gerald and LaDonna moved to Seattle where he worked as a welder in the shipyards and at General Telephone Co. They moved back to Killdeer in 1970 and purchased the Mobile Station naming it Gerry’s Mobile. He later worked for Dunn County, Cenex and was a rural mail carrier for many years. Due to his failing health, they moved to Golden Valley living with their daughter, Heather and family in the country. In spite years of fighting pain and many health issues Gerald never ever complained, never gave up and had a tremendous will to live. Due to these increased health needs, Gerald and LaDonna moved to Bismarck in November of 2012. He was considered by his family as an adventurous, dreamer, schemer, and a jack of all trades. On his 72nd birthday he went skydiving fulfilling one of many dreams. He enjoyed farming, ranching, jelly making, fishing, coin collecting, playing cards, reading, carpentry, hunting and gardening. He especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. In 1993 he received two miracles; one was accepting The Lord Jesus as his Saviour, and the second receiving a new donor heart. He always said he was blessed with five women in his life, and the new heart that served him well for 19 years, was also from an amazing woman. Gerald was a member of the American Legion of Killdeer and the New Life Worship Center in Beulah. Survivors include, his wife of 47 years, LaDonna, Bismarck, ND; four daughters, Yvette (Kermit) Paulson, Devils Lake, ND, Deanna (Larry) Kittilson, Dunn Center, ND, Deborah (Damon) Bromley, Beulah, ND, and Heather (Shawn) Stromme, Golden Valley, ND; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Darl (Coty) Grevious, Glendive, MT, Roger (Eloise) Narveson, Dickinson, ND, Austin Grevious, Chelsea, MI, Dexter (Tracy) Grevious, Seattle, WA; two sisters, Madella (Curt) Brinkman, Dodge, ND and Wanda Davis, Grand Forks, ND; sisters-in-law, Donna Grevious, Belgrade, MT and Shirley (Jim) Borg, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
