Gerald Kelly

Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald Kelly, 82, of Dickinson, ND, will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010, at Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND, with Father Boniface Muggli O.S.B. celebrating. Burial will follow in the Abbey Cemetery in Richardton.


Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. with Father Todd Kreitinger officiating


Gerald passed away Monday, August 23, 2010, at his home in Dickinson.


Mr. Kelly, known as Jerry, was born February 12, 1928, in Fargo, ND, the son of Frank and Mary (Doherty) Kelly. He grew up in Fargo and attended grade school there. He married Agnes Volk on September 6, 1980, at Rugby, ND. Together, they made their home in Richardton, ND, where he was employed at the Assumption Abbey in the Maintenance Department until he retired in 1992. He and Agnes moved to Subiaco Manor in Dickinson, ND, where Jerry continued to do maintenance at the manor. He began working again part-time at the Abbey in 1995 and again retired in June of 2008.


Jerry is survived by his wife, Agnes; one sister, Mary Kelly, Huntersville, NC; one brother, Larry (Arlene) Kelly, Sun City, AZ; and a sister-in-law, Delores Kelly, Fargo, ND.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jack and Francis Kelly.
