Funeral service for Gerald ‘Jerry’ Luptak, 77, of Stanley, will be Monday, 11:00 am October 21, 2024 at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Jerry passed away October 6, 2024 at Trinity Nursing Home in Minot.

Gerald Luptak was born December 4, 1946 to Elmer Luptak and Veronica (Praus) Luptak. Jerry grew up in South Heart, attending and graduating from South Heart High School. Following graduation, he became an expert air traffic controller in the Air Force. After Jerry’s time in the service, he returned to South Heart and started college at Dickinson State University where he majored in Geology and minored in German. He married Linda Karsky on August 18, 1969 in Dickinson and they later divorced in 1986. Jerry owned and managed several bars around the area.

Jerry met Victoria Lyson Woodbeck in Dickinson in 1986 and together they packed up and moved to Washington. Jerry spent his time working for computer service companies and domestic and international shipping companies. He married Victoria October 18, 1996 in Redmond, Washington. Together they returned to ND where they made their home in Stanley. Jerry began working for Hardware Hank until his retirement.

Jerry enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and traveling; especially visiting Canada.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Victoria Woodbeck; stepson, Guy (Tina) Woodbeck; stepdaughter, Sandy (Ron) Hendrickson; daughter, Tracy (Jared) Keller; sisters-in-law, Vivian Luptak, Carol Luptak, and Janet Jensen; grandkids, Tiffany Woodbeck, Jera May Woodbeck, Johnathan Henke, Nathan Henke (Alexandra Cruz), Gavin Keller, Ava Keller, and Gabrielle Keller, Alberto Cruz Lopez; great-granddaughter, Alina “Silas” Crane; ex-wife, Linda Karsky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; stepson, Stacey Woodbeck; stepdaughter, Ellen McVay; brothers, Raymond Luptak, and Adrian Luptak; sister, Caroline (Edward) Dukart; great-grandson, Aiden Woodbeck; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerome and Ella King; brother-in-law, Gilbert Lyson, brother-in-law Earl Jensen; and sister-in-law, Vivian Meyer.
