Jerry and Lucy were always an integral part of the Regent community, at St. Henry's and in the social and economic circles. I had the pleasure of serving with Jerry on economic development projects as well as the parish finance council. He always promoted local endeavors, and that included regional matters. He suggested I become apply to be legal counsel for Slope Electric Cooperative, and I observed the respect the other board members, and folks outside of Slope Electric, gave him. He took his responsibilities seriously, but never took himself too seriously. He and Lucy passed their strengths on to their family, at least from what I have observed. Jerry will be remembered.

Heartfelt sympathy to the family of Gerald and Lucy. I recall my many years serving on a farm coop board and at times those who have served no its a thankless job. But after every annual meeting I chaired Gerri made sure to make his way to find me to tell me good job and gave encouragement and support for the coop cause as it was dear to him I know and anyone can correct me if I am wrong but believe Geralds dad was a founding father and first director or board chairman of the very first farmers union coop in Regent going back to the early 1900,s So we lost a true pioneer and champion for the cooperative system. I motion he deserves to rest in peace his work is done! Sincerely Brian K.

So sorry to hear about Jerry's death but what a good long life he and Lucy had together. They were truly a great example to so many of us and I will remember them always. Our sympathy and love is with all of you!

To the Family, I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Losing my parent has been difficult for me. However, I found this scripture helpful. It is what Jesus said at John5:28,29: “28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;” Hopefully thinking about what these verses state can help your family during this time as it has for me.
