A funeral Mass for Gertrude Buresh, 95, of Dickinson will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, July 22, 2016 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Shannon Lucht celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation for Gertrude will be from 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Thursday, July 21 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at the funeral home. Gertrude passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson. Gertrude was born August 24, 1920 to Anton and Anna (Kudrna) Karsky, New Hradec, ND. On October 9, 1940 Gertrude was united in marriage to Anton (Tony) Buresh at New Hradec. They made their home on a farm northwest of Dickinson until 1979 when they retired and moved to Dickinson. Gert was a member of Catholic Daughters and her homemaker’s club. She had a passion for reading and was a champion scrabble player. She was involved with the hospital auxiliary and read and spoke Czech. She is survived by her children, Ellen (Carl) Larson, Randolph (Lynda), Susan (Ken) Mack and Eugene (Cindy); nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony (Arlene) and Dennis (Arlene); sisters, Mary Kolling, Bertha Bren and Clara Munsch. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Georgia Schmaltz and Martha Karsky and two infant brothers.
