She was born December 13, 1962 in Elgin, ND to Curtis and Karen (Kelsch) Guenther. In 1966, her family moved to Dickinson. Gina attended school in Dickinson, graduating with honors from Dickinson High School in 1981. She attended college at Dickinson State University. Gina married her high school sweetheart, Eddy Dvorak, on October 25, 1984 in Dickinson, ND. Their marriage was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Brittany and Shaunda. Gina began her career at Community First Bank and in 1998 joined the great team at Consolidated Telcom. Gina’s passions in life were focused on spending time with family and friends and living each day as a gift. Many of her cherished moments included supporting her daughters’ athletic and academic achievements. The highlight of those achievements was cheering Brittany and Shaunda on to back to back Class A Volleyball State Championships. Gina’s character and values grew in her daughters as Brittany was named DSU Student Nurse of the Year in 2009 and as Shaunda continues to excel as a member of the Blue Hawks Volleyball Team. Gina enjoyed volunteering many hours with the Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center. She was a dedicated member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and taught CCD classes for several years. With Eddy by her side, she grew to love the country at their farm and the evening rides on the Harley. She liked expressing her creativity and sharing her memories through photography and scrapbooking with her sister Julie. Gina was a great cook and took pride in sharing her mother-in-law’s tradition of baking bread. She looked forward to every beautiful morning walk with her faithful companion “Khia”. Words can never express how deeply Gina will be missed, but her spirit will continue to touch many lives and warm many hearts. Gina is survived by her; husband, Eddy Dvorak; daughters, Brittany and Shaunda Dvorak, all of Dickinson, ND; her father, Curtis Guenther, Williston, ND; brothers, Kurt (Laurie) Guenther and Colin (Lisa) Guenther, both of Bismarck, ND; sister, Julie (Dick) Ficek, Mandan, ND.
