A Liturgy of the Word service for Gladys Forster, known as Dolly, 81, of Richardton, will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2017 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Deacon Bob Zent celebrating. In accordance with Gladys’ wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date.
Visitation for Dolly will be 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9 at the funeral home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00 p.m.
Dolly passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson.
Gladys Marie Gillenberg was born July 17, 1935 in Fryburg, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Bader) Gillenberg. She grew up and attended school in Taylor. On February 25, 1954, Dolly and Fred Forster were united in marriage in Taylor. To this union six children were born: Nancy, Curtiss, Charlotte, Donald, Jeffrey & Sydney. Together, they raised their family north of Richardton on Fred’s family farm.
Dolly worked various jobs through the years and later retired in Bismarck. She loved listening to music and dancing, crocheting and socializing with her friends and family.
Dolly is survived by her sons, Curtiss (Monica) of Dickinson, Donald of Hebron, Jeffrey of Grand Ledge, MI, and Sydney (Connie) of Roseville, MN; daughters, Nancy (Stephan) Kuster of Sagle, ID, and Charlotte (Steven) Schwab of Dickinson; nine grandchildren, Nicole Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Justin Schwab, Michael Schwab, Kevin Schwab, JennaLee Forster, Lucas Forster, Nicholas Forster, and Alexander Forster; one brother, Floyd Gillenberg of Janesville, WI; and sisters, Gerri (Dick) Schulz of Bismarck, and Dorothy Bucher of San Diego, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; and sister, Dolores Johnson and Annette Meyers.
