Gloria passed away September 28, 2015, at the Fallon County Medical Center. Gloria Mae (Hoenke) Duneman was born March 22, 1939, in Fallon County, the daughter of Otto and Harriet (Freeman) Hoenke. Growing up she was raised on a farm near South Sandstone where she spent many hours drawing. Gloria attended Ehret Country School south of Plevna and later Plevna High School. It was in high school where she met the love of her life, Ralph Raymond Duneman. They were married on August 22, 1954 in Plevna and were blessed to celebrate 60 years of marriage together. To their union, four children were born, Terry, Steven, Mark and Susan. Gloria and Ralph were each other’s best friends, always doing things together such as playing cribbage, golfing and traveling. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother. She always treated everyone she met like family. She was involved in the community through Baker Home Craft Club, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, a member of the American Lutheran Church, and an avid Avon representative for 30 plus years. Gloria’s customers became very close to her over the years. Gloria enjoyed singing in the church and community choir and was well known for her beautiful singing voice. She was an amazing cook and great at sewing. And when they got married, she did not know how to cook or sew! Gloria taught herself to do those things! If she saw something new, or a cool idea that some company was doing or selling, she would say “I don’t need that, I can make my own! If they can do that, I can do that!” She enjoyed cooking for her family, neighbors, and all the kids who came over after school. Her specialty was always caramel rolls and kuchen. Gloria loved decorating for holidays; especially for Christmas. She also had a strong love animals of all kinds. She treasured her time with her family and grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time babysitting and watching the neighbor kids. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. Gloria is survived by her four children, Terry Curry of Baker, Steven (Karen) of Nixa, MO, Mark (Pam) of Willard, MO and Susan (Dave) Delicath of Cheyenne, WY; eleven grandchildren, Clark (Brooke) Curry, Dane Curry, Alyson (Kirk) Lineback, Rick Odell, Meagan Duneman, Rachel Duneman, Cameron Duneman, Cody Duneman, Katie Delicath, Jacob Delicath, and Samuel Delicath; four great-grandchildren, Haylee, Rushton, Frankie and Pepper Curry; sisters-in-law, Doris Benner and Evelyn Myer of Baker; brother, Arnold (Bud) Hoenke; brother-in-law, Arnold Duneman.
