Grant Lofthus

Funeral Services for Grant S. Lofthus, 94, of Battle Ground WA, formerly, of Halliday, ND, are Tuesday, January 14, 2003, 10:00 a. m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Halliday with Pastor Harry Theiss, officiating. Interment will follow at Halliday Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Grant passed away on January 7, 2003, at Battle Ground, Washington. Grant, a son of Gilman and Sigrid (Lee) Lofthus, was born April 5, 1910, in Halliday, ND. He spent his life farming near Halliday. Grant was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the sports of baseball and basketball. Grant was fond of sweets, taking long walks and teasing. However his traits of honesty, kindness and generosity will carry forward with his memory. Grant is survived by one niece, Joyce Repp of Vancouver, WA; two grandnephews, Curtis Kerr of LaCenter, WA and Brent Kerr of Battle Ground, WA; along with several great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
