Funeral Services for Harold ?Buzz? Beyers, 77 of Baker will be 4:00 p. m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the American Lutheran Church in Baker. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p. m. to 3:00 p. m. on Saturday at Stevenson Funeral Home. Buzz passed away July 10, 2007 at Rapid City, SD. Harold ?Buzz? Beyers was born November 20, 1929, the son of Harold and Eudora Peterson Beyers. Harold grew up on the family farm during the depression era north of Keldron, SD. He attended school in the country and at Morristown, SD. He worked with a crew constructing grain elevators throughout the Dakotas. Buzz worked at the Sweetheart Bakery in Bismarck, ND. He returned to the farm at Watauga, SD. It was while he was farming there that he met and married Bonnie Anderson. They were married July 3, 1955 at Lemmon, SD. They farmed on his father-in-law?s farm north of Watauga. They moved to Rapid City, SD where Buzz worked for the Rushmore Bakery. Buzz and Bonnie moved to Baker, MT where Buzz worked in the oilfield with Daniel?s Oilfield Construction. They left Baker and went to Duchesne, UT where he worked in the oilfields for two years. They returned to Baker where Buzz owned and operated his own oilfield company until he retired. He was a member of the Eagles. Buzz enjoyed hunting, camping, baseball and attending his grandchildren?s events. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Buzz and Bonnie had been married for 52 years. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, Baker; three sons: Brad (Karen) Beyers, Baker, Ryan (Sonja) Beyers, Baker and Kenneth Beyers, Seattle, WA; two daughters: Rosalyn (Darc) Duprel, Vale, SD and Cindy (Vern) Roberts, Fruitland, UT; a brother, C. R. ?Bob? (Delores) Beyers, Billings, MT; two sisters: Elsie (Rudy) Sackmann, Lemmon, SD and Karen (Larry) Rafferty, Wayne, OK; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Wade Beyers and four sisters .
