Funeral Service for Harriet Lucinda Plummer, 85, of Baker, MT will be 11:00 a. m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Baker, MT with Pastor Levi Durfey officiating. Interment will follow in the Family lot in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker, MT. Visitation will be 3:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Sunday, January 28, 2006 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral in Baker. Harriet Lucinda Plummer was born June 23, 1921, a daughter of Calvin V. and Blanch E. (Newton) Pierce in the Beaver Flats community of Carter County, MT. Harriet grew up and attended school in Ekalaka, MT. In 1940, she met and married Gaylord Webster, and to this union, two daughters, Sonia F. and Grace L. were born. Harriet later met and married Albert North. Together they worked at the Baker Saddlery where Harriet?s interest of saddle building grew. Harriet loved taking the rawhide leather and designing it into a fine saddle. She also worked in the local J. C. Penney?s store. Harriet met Jack ?Bud? Plummer, and the two were married April 17, 1959 in Miles City, MT. As Bud was a trucker, Harriet enjoyed traveling around the area trucking with Bud. After their retirement, Harriet began writing poetry. Harriet had a deep and strong commitment for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her poetry and songs she wrote showed her love and faith she had for Him, and the joy and love she had for her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Baker, MT. Harriet went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Fallon Medical Complex Nursing Home in Baker. Harriet is survived by her daughter, Sonia (Herb) Schell, Baker, MT; her brother, Floyd (June) Pierce, Ekalaka, MT; two sisters, Laura Webster, Miles City, MT, and Lauretta (Albert) Johnstone, Ekalaka, MT; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Blanch Pierce; her husband, Jack ?Bud? Plummer; her daughter and son-in-law, Grace L. and Don Watkins; her brothers, R. D. and Delbert Pierce; her sisters, Flora Hobbs and Margie Anderson; her grandsons, Deon Watkins and Russell Schell and a great-grandson, Derrik Schell.
