Harvey was very proud of his horses and fine hereford cattle. He often would give a young person who came to visit a young horse. He kept his horses in separate pastures to keep Ruth from knowing how many he really had. Harvey also enjoyed his football games and many times voiced his opinion on the plays, players and anything else he had an opinion on. He enjoyed rodeos, listening to and telling stories to anyone. Harvey taught his children to have a strong work ethic, honesty and believe in education. He was very proud of the fact that all of his children graduated from Montana State University. Harvey served on the Fallon County Fair Board for a number of years and also served on the ASC Board.
