Hattie Urbanec

Hattie Urbanec, 82, of Dickinson passed away on November 15, 2003 at St. Benedict?s Health Center. Hattie was born March 31, 1921, in Stark County, ND to Joseph and Agnes (Pavlicek) Nadvornik. She was raised and attended country schools in Stark County along with helping her parents on the farm. On October 26, 1943 Hattie married Joseph Urbanec in Dickinson, ND. They lived on a farm near New Hradec for the next 15 years and raised their daughter, Marion. In 1958 the family moved to Dickinson where Hattie worked for St. Benedict?s Nursing Home when it was located on the southside of Dickinson. In 1990, Hattie retired and they continued to make Dickinson their home. She found great enjoyment in cooking and entertaining friends and family. Hattie always made time to watch her favorite TV program Northern Exposure. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend and her greatest love was for her granddaughters. She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Dickinson, daughter and son-in-law, Marion and Ron Antonelli of Prescott Valley, AZ, two granddaughters, Lynette Dukart of Minneapolis, MN, Janel Dukart and grandson-in-law, John Chapman along with soon to be born great granddaughter, Dakota Rose Dukart of Witchta, KS, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and six sisters.
