Funeral Services for Helen K. Allerdings, 78 of Plevna will be 10:00 a. m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Plevna with Pastor Bruce Inion officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Union Cemetery at Plevna. Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2005 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. in the Chapel of the Stevenson Funeral Home. Helen K. Allerdings was born on April 22, 1927 on the Hepperle (now Arlee Fried) farm south of Plevna, to Emanuel J. and Caroline (Wenz) Freier. She grew up and attended schools in Westmore, Tonquin and Plevna. In her early years, she worked for area families providing child care and performing household chores. As a child, Helen attended the same school and church as Maurice Fredrich Allerdings. The two became friends, and through their relationship with the Lord they themselves began a relationship that has lasted more than 58 years. On October 6, 1946, Helen K. Freier and Maurice Fredrich Allerdings were united in marriage at Emmanuel Congregational Church in Plevna, MT. Together Helen and Maurice made their home on the family farm ten miles southeast of Plevna. They were were blessed with five children whom they shared their life with. She was a very devoted wife and mother to her children. Helen accepted the Lord as her personal savior at an early age and remained faithful to the Him. She was a member of the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church. Helen was very active in her church teaching Sunday school, bible school, and was involved in the Ladies Aid, as well as leading bible studies. She was known for her gentle spirit and her gift of hospitality by opening her home to anyone who needed a place to stay, or even just a home cooked meal. Helen?s love was for the Lord, her family, and especially her husband Maurice. Helen had many hobbies, which included cross-stitching, embroidering, and gardening just to name a few. She also had a knack for baking and decorating cakes. Helen was called home to be with her Lord on September 29, 2005 at the Fallon Medical Complex Nursing Home in Baker, and now waits in the peace and comfort of her new home for her family. Survivors include: her husband: Maurice Allerdings, Plevna, MT; three sons: Allen (Roberta) Allerdings, Plevna, MT, Merlin (Bonnie) Allerdings, Minot, ND, Clinton (Jolinda) Allerdings, Plevna, MT; two daughters: Arlis (Richard) Schaefer, Plevna, MT, Jolene (Alan) Land, Hannibal, MO; three sisters: Edna Atkinson, Fallon, MT, Agnes Wiseman, Grand Junction, CO, Winnie Pugh, Glasgow, MT; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; three brothers: Ervin, Edmund, and Harold (in infancy) Freier; one sister Lorene Buerkle; and one grandson Farron Allerdings.
