Helen Gieser, 81, Dickinson, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Plainfield, Illinois. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a. m. , Monday, March 29, 2004, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Austin Vetter, celebrating. Interment will be in St. Patrick?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be noon to 9 p. m. , Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. lead by Deacon Tony Wanner. Helen Fenno was born on October 6, 1922, in Berlin, ND to Frank and Buena (Bedinger) Fenno. She attended Berlin Grade School and graduated from Berlin High School. After graduation she attended and graduated from Valley City State College with a Teachers Degree. Helen moved to Walla Walla, Wash. and worked in the military hospital. Here she met Valentine Gieser and married him on April 30, 1944. They moved back to North Dakota. Helen was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and St. Patrick?s Catholic Church. Helen is survived by: three daughters, Annette Fell, Michigan, Sylvia Carney, Dickinson and Mary Ann Michaelowski, Plainfield, Ill; grandchildren, Wendy Syniano and Jason W. Carney; two sisters, Virginia Ellis and Betty Stelling, LaMoure, N. Dak. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers George and Clinton, and sister Marion Raugust.
