A funeral Mass for Helen Heiser, 86, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Helen will be 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00 p.m.
Helen passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.
Helen Katherine was born August 28, 1932, in Dickinson, the daughter of Anton and Suzanne (Kraiter) Menzel. Growing up, she attended a one room school house until high school. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 1950. Helen married Casper Heiser on November 10, 1952 at the Hirschville Church in Dunn Co. The couple was blessed with three children, Jolene, Renee and Delbert. Helen worked for F.W. Woolworth for 10 years and then was self-employed for 27 years with Cap’s Conoco, before retiring in 1996. Helen enjoyed bingo, gambling and Heiser Rummy. She was a member of VFW auxiliary and the German Hungarian Club. Helen will be remembered for her many stories. She will be forever loved and dearly missed.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Jolene (Eric) Bohl of Dickinson and Renee (Kevin) Gabbert of Bismarck; son, Delbert J. (Lori) Heiser of Dickinson; grandchildren, Adam Gabbert, Samie Bohl, Alexis Bohl, Brittany Heiser, Makenzie Heiser, Luke Heiser; great-granddaughter, Aahliyah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Suzanne Menzel; husband, Casper Heiser; sisters, Anna Luey, Rose Hipsak.
