Helen Ronish

A Liturgy of the Word service for Helen Ronish, 79, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. , Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Deacon Ron Keller celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Richardton. Visitation for Helen will be 8:30 a. m. – 10:00 a. m. , Thursday, November 12th, prior to the service at the funeral home. Helen was welcomed to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at her home in Dickinson. Helen was born in El Monte, California on January 7, 1936 to Raymond and Phyllis (Larson) Ronish. Helen attended grade school in Taylor and Richardton until the 5th grade and then attended Grafton State School. In 1985, Helen moved to Hettinger and shortly after moved to Dickinson where she received supports from ABLE, Inc. Through these supports, Helen enjoyed many activities such as work activities, Special Olympics, social clubs, spending time outdoors, scrapbooking, music, and visiting with friends. Helen’s greatest joys were connecting with others and spending time with babies and children. Helen taught many life lessons to those that surrounded her. She reminded others to have resiliency and find strength in small moments, be honest with others, and do not take life too seriously. Helen is survived by her siblings Mike (Mary Ellen) Ronish, Hank (Peggy) Ronish, Cathy (Ernie) Roller, and Mary (Wilfred) Quintus and numerous nieces and nephews. She also had an extended family at ABLE, Inc, where she lived for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Peter, Charlie, and Joanne.
