A Funeral Mass for Henry “Hank” Kadrmas, 95, of Dickinson, will 10:30 a. m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Monsgr. Patrick Schumacher celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation for Hank will be from 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home Dickinson with a Rosary and Vigil service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Hank passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 in Dickinson, ND. Henry R. “Hank” Kadrmas was born September 19, 1918 in Stark County, the son of Joseph and Kristina (Kubik) Kadrmas. He grew up on the family farm and attended Tabor School #1 through the eighth grade. On January 11, 1943, Hank and Viola Pribyl were united in marriage at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. The couple made their home on the family farm five miles west of Dickinson. This farm is where they made their living and raised their two sons, Rodney and Jerry. Hank kept busy farming and working at Stockmen’s Livestock for over 40 years. In 1982, they retired and moved to Dickinson. Hank called Evergreen his home in his later years. Hank and Vi enjoyed dancing and attended many old time dance as well as playing cards and having coffee with friends. He played the accordion for the nursing homes and sang with the Czech Heritage Singers. Hank greeted people with a grin and a Czech comment that usually made everyone smile. His happy personality will be missed by many. Hank was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the KC Club, the Eagles Club and St. Anthony Hall. Henry is survived by his son, Rodney (Beverly) Kadrmas of LaCrosse, WI; three grandchildren, Kevin (Melissa) Kadrmas of LaCrosse, WI, Brian (Robin) Kadrmas of Rockland, WI, and Kimberly (Jamie) Bahr of LaCross, WI; four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Natalie Kadrmas & Chandler, Mathis and Jacob Bahr; one brother, Joseph Kadrmas of WI; one sister, Alyce (Jerry) Herauf of CA and special friend Frances Ridl of Dickinson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Kristina; wife, Viola; son, Jerry Lee Kadrmas; one infant daughter; three brothers, Vince Barta, Ludwig Kadrmas and Robert Kadrmas; two sisters, Bessie Pavlicek and Lillian Leiss.
