Funeral Services for Henry William “Bill” Kovar V, 68, of New England will be Monday, November 30, 2020 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in New England.
Visitation for Bill will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29th at Stevenson Funeral Home.
Bill passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.

Henry William “Bill” Kovar V was born in New England on March 14, 1952, the son of Henry IV and Ardelle (Johnson) Kovar. He grew up in New England and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1970. Bill attended Wahpeton State School of Science and worked a few various jobs before he started his career in construction. He retired from Edwards H Schwartz Construction in 2018 after working there for over 34 years.
Bill loved bowling, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, shooting pool, golfing and hunting.
Bill is survived by his father, Henry IV; brothers, Dean of Great Falls, MT, and Pat (Deb) of Dickinson; sisters, Bonnie Tharaldsen of Bismarck, Joanie (Steve) Narum of Douglas, ND, Karla (Jimm) Renfrow of Anadarko, OK, and Arva (Neal) Steier of Dickinson; his life-long best friend; Doug Tarpo; several dozen nieces, nephews and cousins; two aunts, Marvis Miller and Rosina Kovar; and uncle, Willis Johnson
He is preceded in death by his mother; Ardelle; brothers, Ray and Casey; sister-in-law, Linda Kovar; brother-in-law, John Tharaldsen; nieces, Sarah Kovar and Natalie Hankel; nephew, Jason Kovar; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorials can be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Amidon.
