Henry Zimmerman

Henry Zimmerman, age 63 of Glen Ullin died Wednesday, November 15, 2005 at Medcenter One in Bismarck. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2005 at Spangelo Funeral Home in Glen Ullin with the Reverend Bill Bradley, Officiating. Burial of the ashes will be held in the Glen Ullin Cemetery. Henry was born April 24, 1942 at Mandan, North Dakota the son of Edwin and Alvin (Fischer) Zimmerman. He was raised and started his schooling in Glen Ullin. As youngster he moved to New Leipzig to work on his uncle?s farm and finished school there. He worked in road construction during the building of I-94. When that work was complete he worked as a welder and machinist. On September 8, 1979 he married Gail Johnson at St. Cloud, MN. They lived in the Brooten, MN area until 1995 when they moved to Glen Ullin. Henry died Tuesday, November 15, at Medcenter One in Bismarck. He is survived by his wife Gail, of Glen Ullin; six children: Heidi, Nicholas, and Grace, all at home; Darwin, Rocky and Dion, all in New Hampshire. Four sisters: Delores Zimmerman and Darlene Schock, both of Dickinson; Rose Heinle, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Betty Tkach, Williston, ND; two brothers: Bruce Zimmerman and Art Zimmerman, both of Dickinson; and his half brothers: Gerald Zimmerman, in Arizona; Gerald Zimmerman, in Oregon; Lloyd Zimmerman in OR; and half sister: Mary Dodd, in Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Alvina Just.
