Herbert passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Fallon Medical Complex.


Herbert John Uecker was born January 5, 1952 in Baker, MT to Arnold and Margaret (Schwindt) Uecker. He grew up and attended school in Baker. After school, Herbert began his career in the oilfield, ruffnecking and driving truck in Utah. This is where he met his wife Teresa. They were united in marriage on November 20, 1973 in Roosevelt, UT. To this union, two sons were born; Clint and Shawn. The family moved to Baker and resided there until 1980 when they relocated to Washington to be closer to family. Several years later, they moved to Glendive, MT. The boys attended and graduated from school here. Herb went back to work in the oilfield. In 1996, they moved back to Baker and have made that their home ever since. Herb worked for Heiser’s doing maintenance for the building. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and hanging out with his grandkids.


Herbert is survived by his wife, Teresa; sons, Clint (Brandie) Uecker of Billings, MT, and Shawn (Loveden) Uecker of Baker, MT; grandchildren, Riley, Kayden, Madison, Avery, Eve, Kredance, and Emory; great-grandchild, Xayden; siblings, June (Fred) Lee of Spokane, WA, Arnie (Sharon) Uecker of Billings, MT, Robert (Gail) Uecker of Yakima, WA,  Barbara (Lary) Etichison of Selah, WA, Clayton (Linda) Uecker of Yakima, WA, Tony Uecker of Yakima, WA, and Kelly (Brenda) Uecker of Baker, MT, sisters-in-law, Diane Uecker, Tina Chandler, Kourtney Douglas, and Kylie Youngkin; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gwen Miller.


Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Margaret Uecker; and siblings, Shirley (Gene) Leingang, Fred Uecker, and Scott Uecker.
