Holly Schirado

Hollis Schirado, known to everyone as Holly, age 80 of Glen Ullin died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. CENTRAL TIME on Saturday, July 8, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Glen Ullin with the Rev. Loren Strum, Officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:30 until 8:30 PM at Spangelo Funeral Home in Glen Ullin and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan; on Monday July 10th at 10 a. m. Central Time Holly was born October 26, 1925 at Golden Valley, ND the daughter of Emanuel and Amelia (Seiler) Herman. She was raised and educated in the Beulah area. She met Harry Schirado in Beulah and was married on December 16, 1945 at Beulah. Holly worked for a while in the kitchen at the Glen Ullin School. She loved her garden and canning and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. Holly will be greatly missed by her son, Harry Dean, Glen Ullin; her daughter, Renae Poitra, Dickinson, ND and one grandson Chad Doll, Limon, CO. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters: Opal Bates, Billings, MT, and Delilah Seise, Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry on Sept 20, 2005, four brothers: Emil, Elroy, Ozzie, and Forrest and three sisters: Violet, Fern, and Shirley.
