A Memorial Service for Holly Colleen ?Cookie? Kruger Waterland, 62, of Marmarth, ND will be at 4:00 p. m. on Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Marathi, ND with Deacon Leonard Fischer presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date. Cookie passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at her home in Marmarth, ND. Holly Colleen Waterland was born a daughter of Harold and Louise (Funk) Kruger on July 18, 1946, in Dickinson, ND. Cookie, as she was known as by her family and friends grew up in Marmarth, ND where she attended school. While living in Marmarth, Cookie met Robert Allen ?Bunny? Waterland. The two were married on September 26, 1962 in Dickinson, ND. To this union Sidney, Leslie and Robert Jr. were born. After their marriage, Cookie and Bunny lived in Bozeman, MT where Bunny was attending MSU. From Bozeman, the young couple moved to Laramie, WY where Bunny attended the University of Wyoming. Following college, Cookie and Bunny moved to Wisconsin and eventually to Maysville, OK where Bunny was a traveling salesman and Cookie was a homemaker raising their family. Bunny passed away on February 26, 1995. In March of 2002, Cookie moved back to her home town of Marmarth where she lived until her death. While living in Maysville Cookie always took great pride in keeping an immaculate home as well as a beautiful yard. In her spare time, Cookie enjoyed visiting on the telephone with her family and friends. Cookie is survived by her three children, Sidney (Stephen) Anderson, Harrison, AR, Leslie (Danny) Campbell, Harrison, AR and Robert (Tonya) Waterland Jr. , Harrison, AR; 10 grandchildren, Justin Smith, Carry (Dianna) Smith, Jennifer Watkins, William Campbell, Anita (Seth) Wilson, Leland Campbell, Robert Campbell, Sara Campbell, Melissa Waterland, and Kevin Waterland; five great-grandchildren, Naomie Waterland, Ayden Waterland, Indica Wilson, Gracie Smith and Averie Smith; seven brothers, Delbert Kruger, Marmarth, ND, Darwin (Pearl) Kruger, Dickinson, ND, Gary (Chung) Kruger, Denver, CO, Bruce (Ginny) Kruger, Moclips, WA, Ronald (Patsy) Kruger, Casper, WY, Kermit (Kassie) Kruger, Smith Grove, KY, and Allen (Barbara) Kruger, Gauthier, MS; and three sisters, Lenore (Perry) Thorne, Marmarth, ND, Yvonne (Roland) Svihl, New Hradec, ND and Kathleen ?Dude? (Jim) Quenzer, Marmarth, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Louise, her husband, Bunny, one sister, Sharon Kruger and two brothers, Fred Kruger and Darel Kruger and her sister-n-law Thelma Kruger. Arrangements are under the care of Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker, MT.
