Funeral services for Hubert Lester 85, of Dickinson, ND will be 2 p. m. , Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Martin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Monday September 1, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Hubert passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. Hubert Carl Lester was born on December 4, 1922 in Marietta Township, Crawford County, Wisconsin; the first child of Harry T. Lester and Ida Miller Lester. On February 14th, 1943 he was united in marriage to Altha Marie Curtis in Boscobel, WI. To this union four children were born, Marcella Ann, Gloria Carol, Adela Marie and Harry Hubert. In 1956 they left Wisconsin and lived in Montana nineteen plus years, Wyoming-four years; Arizona-one year; and the remaining years in Dickinson, ND. He was employed by Cenex Co-opertives for forty-three years. He is survied by his wife Altha Marie; four children, Marcella Hughes – Aurora, CO; Gloria (Harley) Krein – Dickinson, Adela Lamson – Detroit Lakes, MN; and Harry Lester of Denver, CO; one sister – Lorraine (Lyall) Collins of Appleton, WI; eight grandchildren – Colleen (Bruce) Lutz of Columbia Falls, Mont. ; Robert (Erika) Crumley of Anchorage, Alaska; Lorene (Scott) Jaynes of Stockton, Mont. ; Melissa (Michael) Spero and Marcus Krein of Boise, ID; Krishna Lamson of Aurora, CO; Valerie Lamson of Detroit Lakes, MN; Matthew (Maggie) Krein of SanDiego, CA; Ten great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Ida Lester and a brother, Harold Lester.
